As a central facial feature, the nose’s projection, size, and overall appearance can dramatically affect our appearance and how we feel about ourselves. Fortunately, if you are dissatisfied with the look of your nose, Dr. Adam Honeybrook offers a variety of techniques at his offices in Brisbane and Sydney to help you achieve the desired appearance. The rhinoplasty procedure transforms our patients’ lives and addresses concerns that may have hindered their confidence and overall well-being.
A surgical procedure performed under general anesthetic, rhinoplasty or septorhinoplasty enhances or restores the nose’s form and/or function. Dr. Honeybrook applies his considerable mastery of the procedure to ensure the treatment outcomes align with his patient’s goals and preferences and harmonize well with their natural features and proportions. He is a trusted provider, with patients and peers seeking him out for revision surgeries and support in complex or challenging cases.
When in Dr. Honeybrook’s talented and experienced hands, rhinoplasties can address many of the patients concerns. It may be recommended to correct a crooked or overly large nose, to soften big nostrils, humps, and prominences on the nasal bridge, and to improve an overly bulbous tip or other irregularities. He is also trusted to perform procedures with significant functional and health implications, such as correcting a deviated septum and other structural issues that impact breathing. So, you can breathe easier about how you look and generally breathe better!
Each technique is appropriate for everyone. Dr. Honeybrook may perform an open or closed rhinoplasty depending on your needs and unique characteristics. Each approach has its advantages and disadvantages, which Dr. Honeybrook will discuss with you to empower you to decide to align with your best interests. The former technique generally involves making incisions in the tissue strip separating the nostrils (the columella). The latter technique largely involves incisions applied inside the nostrils.
While rhinoplasty is well worth the wait, the final results can take about a year to be seen. At the office of Dr. Adam Honeybrook, we stand apart from other plastic surgery practices with our unique expertise in advanced surgical techniques and our exceptional level of commitment and approach to the post-rhinoplasty recovery experience. Dr. Honeybrook explores innovative methods to aid patients’ recovery, including topical treatments like Arnica Montana and injectable Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) to minimize swelling and promote healing after surgery.
Of course, all treatments start with a consultation. Be prepared to be open with us and share what you like about specific “aspirational” or admired noses. At your first consultation, you will have 3D simulations performed in real time. While these noses may serve as inspiration, the best result for you must harmonize well with the other features of your face.
